Glenn Blakeborough started his rigging career as an apprentice ship's rigger at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Devonport back in the late 1980s.  His interest in music brought him to London and led him into the world of entertainment rigging.

Glenn Blakeborough Ltd was established in 2013 with the aim to provide certified LOLER examination, load testing, servicing, and rigging installation to a wide range of venues including theatres, concert halls, schools, exhibition centres, churches and more.

GBL have been full members of LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) since 2018.
